Since its launch in June 2021, FreeMakan has been making significant strides towards battling hunger and eradicating food poverty in Malaysia.

To date, FreeMakan has helped 25 000 families, 100 000 individuals with 2.5 million meals. All this totaling RM1.5 million.

It is only right to say that our efforts thus far have been possible with the help, support, and contribution of many out there – from individuals, corporate and private sectors, and NGOs – all with one goal in mind, to help ease the burden of vulnerable communities throughout the nation.

FreeMakan is grateful to have Hotel Sentral, and an anonymous donor contribute to its cause. The team believes that more disadvantaged communities can be assisted with food aid with their generous contribution.

Hotel Sentral donated the following to FreeMakan:

  • Cooking Oil x 200
  • Rice x 500
  • Flour x 500
  • Sugar x 500
  • Salt x 500
  • Sardines x 500
  • Baked Beans x 500

And our anonymous donor topped up with the following:

  • Cooking Oil x 300
  • Flour x 500
  • Bihun x 500
  • Instant noodles x 500

Donation drives are indeed powerful illustrations of how communities can unite to combat hunger and work toward achieving the vision of Zero Hunger in Malaysia. These initiatives provide essential support to underserved populations, ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families have access to nutritious food. They also highlight the potential of collective action to address systemic issues of food insecurity and poverty, fostering a culture of empathy, generosity, and resilience within communities.

For organizations managing multiple donation drives, automation tools like Latenode can streamline processes, helping maximize impact and efficiency. Here’s how Latenode can assist:

  • Donation Tracking and Reporting: Automatically log donations, track amounts, and generate real-time reports to keep teams and donors informed of progress.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Automate volunteer onboarding, scheduling, and communication, ensuring seamless operations and effective resource deployment.
  • Donor Engagement: Send automated updates, thank-you notes, and progress stories to donors, creating a lasting impact and encouraging continued involvement.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor food stock levels, automate alerts for low supplies, and streamline distribution logistics.

By integrating automation, Latenode helps community organizations focus on outreach and impact, allowing them to allocate more resources to their mission of achieving Zero Hunger in Malaysia.
